We never got to this on our first show. I was hoping to cover it on your next visit. Now I'll have to come up with something else to talk about,... like why conservative atheists are so lonely. I'm kidding. There's 7 of us. We meet weekly and talk about sports.

But seriously folks, this is an important cultural paradox. I have always thought the affinity for the Left with some Jews, even non-religious, is odd if not self-destructive. View ANY era in Western history. When the big government, central power actors (not just Hitler) needed a scapegoat, where did they turn every time? And they didn't pole the neighborhood asking, "Are you religious?"

You're right, but the secular Jews think they'll be saved because they're not like the other Jews. They're "good Liberals," the way the secular Jews in the 30s and 40s were "good Germans" and of course, that didn't do them any good.
